This is my standard rate for in-person lessons at my home or lessons taught online.

You are paying for my time, and I am happy to teach anything I offer during the time you schedule with me.

Lessons can be scheduled in 15-minute* increments.

$30 per Half Hour

This is my travel rate for in-person lessons done anywhere outside of my home.

(An additional travel fee to cover time and expenses for in-person lessons taught outside of the Cedar Rapids Metro Area will be assessed.)

Lessons can be scheduled in 15-minute increments, starting with no less than 30 minutes.

Lessons

I welcome students of all kinds, backgrounds, and abilities.  The youngest age I'll work with is 6-years-old, and there's no cap to the age limit after that.  If I have room in my schedule, and you're willing to put in the work, I will gladly teach you!

Here's a list of every lesson type that I offer along with a brief description:

Voice/Singing

Whether you're a novice, have natural talent, have experienced training in the past, or have been described as tone-deaf, I can help you reach your goals as a singer.  Our first six to eight lessons will be spent helping you understand your vocal biology and how to sing with greater freedom.  From there we'll start working on songs and styles that suit your voice.

Piano, Cello, Violin, and Viola

For beginning students, you will learn how to play your instrument much in the same way you learned how to speak English - by doing it before we can read it.  For more experienced students, lessons will be tailored to meet your needs, teaching you in the way you learn best.  I do not adhere to a singular teaching method and will use everything suitable to help my students.

Acting

So, you've got the theatre bug, do you?  I will challenge you to grow your creative genius, to express yourself, to build your stage presence, and to value everything you naturally have to offer.

Voice/Acting

Looking to develop your skills, land agents, and start getting paid gigs in the vast world of voiceover?  I'll help you better understand your vocal instrument, your full vocal range, how to elicit the right emotion and portray consistent characters with just your voice, develop believable accents, and much more.

Dance

Take advantage of one-on-one instruction to focus on your personal growth from an instructor who keys in on details often missed in a class or troupe setting.  Learn a new style of dance as a beginner, perfect a style you already specialize in, and develop your ability to emotionally connect with the story your dance is telling.

Improv Comedy

Have fun improving your ability to think on the fly!  Lessons are tailored to discover how best to free your mind, allowing creative thoughts to flow and be expressed with ease.

Creative Writing

Whether you need help with a particular assignment, a college admissions essay, a resumé, a script, or you want to unlock your complete creative writing potential... nothing beats the personal attention given by an instructor with boundless creativity.  Learn the balance between focus and creative flow while discovering your writer's voice.

Life Lessons

Feel like your stuck in a rut?  Personal habits keep getting in the way of your ability to organize and move up in life?  I'm here to provide a nonjudgmental mirror, personally catered instructions to help you achieve the next reachable step, and a professional friendship to walk with you through the growing pains of personal change.

Breathing Lessons

Begin to take charge of your life, health, and mental wellness!  With my practical instructions to retrain your body on how to breathe the way it was biologically designed, you will quickly master the lost art of breathing - removing all kinds of unnecessary stress and strain.

*Online lessons can be as short as 15 minutes. In person lessons can be as short as 30 minutes, and then increase by 15-minute increments.
